Chief Human Resources Officer

Chief Human Resource Officer Mary Lou Farmer has been with Parker since 2001. Her career started with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Industry, where she served in many capacities, including the state's Job Corps coordinator. She then became the personnel manager for Macy’s in Nanuet, NY, where she was responsible for 800 employees.

Later she joined Littman Jewelers as the employment manager, serving 126 stores in 13 states. She was promoted to vice president for human resources before she left to join the law firm of Budd Larner as human resource director. She served as president of the Jersey City YWCA for several years during its expansion into residential services for women and children.

Ms. Farmer received her bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in Washington, DC, and holds an MA in Counseling from Seton Hall University. Additionally, she is a certified employee benefits specialist.

She and her husband have lived in Cranford, NJ, for the past 35 years, where Ms. Farmer was appointed to the Zoning Board and elected to the Township Committee.
