My InnerView has awarded Parker River Road and Parker Landing Lane the
Excellence in Action Award, honoring superior customer and workforce satisfaction in nursing homes nationally. MyInnerview, Inc., is an independent survey and benchmarking company that measures quality in long-term and assisted living facilities. Parker Home is one of only six New Jersey award winners.
The 2008 award recognizes those nursing homes that have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and have successfully made quality a priority to better serve their customers’ and employees’ needs. The customer award was earned by 365 nursing homes, representing only 8% of the 4,832 nursing homes nationwide, and the workforce award was earned by 229 nursing homes, or just 8% of the 3,025 nursing homes in the US.
To achieve the Excellence in Action Award, Parker met the following criteria:
- Completed a customer (family or resident) or workforce satisfaction survey during calendar year 2008
- Had a minimum of 10 responses, with a minimum 30% response rate
- Parker had a 69% response rate on the employee satisfaction survey
- Parker had a 67% response rate on the customer satisfaction survey
- For customer satisfaction: Scored in the top 10% of qualifying facilities in terms of respondents (residents and family members) rating the facility as "excellent," on the question “What is your recommendation of this facility to others?”
- Rated by 64% of Parker resident and family respondents as an excellent facility that they would recommend to others.

“We are pleased but not surprised with this award, as we did receive the 2008 Outstanding Employer of the Year Award from the New Jersey Business and Industry Association as well as the SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) recognition given by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for both Parker locations.”
